Training Programs Offered By PSTI
Personal Safety Training Incorporated offers Instructor and Basic course certifications.
These courses can be taught at our training facility or yours (on-site training).
Instructor course certifications
Successful completion of the one or three day instructor programs will qualify the instructor to teach the basic course.
Methods of Instruction are covered in our courses so that individuals can learn the fundamentals of how to effectively reach their audience. In addition, individuals will learn how to use various presentation techniques and materials to enhance the learning process.
Procedures for Certifications
Certification Requirements through forms and exams are also covered so that continuing education, performance requirements, certification standards and court defensibility are completely understood.
Instructor Certification entitles you to train, certify, and re-certify others in the basic course. Instructor programs can be held at our training facility or yours. Training fee includes manual and certificate, wallet cards etc...

Successful completion of a 4hr. course up to a 1 Day or 2 Day course will certify the individual in the basic course. In these hands-on courses, you will learn strategies to avoid physical harm and learn how to control aggressive behavior through state-of-the-art principals and techniques.
Courses offered include MOAB -Management of Aggressive Behavior, OCAT -OC Pepper, PATH -Tactical Handcuffing, MEB- Expandable Baton, First Aid certifications and Personal Safety 101.
Many have credited these programs with avoiding injuries and even for saving their lives and others.
Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) - Is an in-depth training program which teaches individuals how to recognize reduce and manage anxious and aggressive behavior. Strategies for preventing and diffusing aggressive behavior, controlling and restraining individuals, and managing physical confrontations are topics covered. Management of Aggressive Behavior-MOAB is the most innovative, comprehensive and effective course on managing conflict, anxiety, and aggression for all industries.
Oleoresin Capsicum Aerosol Training (OCAT) - Designed for professionals involved in human services work such as corporations, law enforcement organizations, Security, academic, healthcare, military, and federal agencies. Monadnock Expandable Baton (MEB) - Two Certification Courses to choose from, basic or advanced training. Both programs combine lecture, discussion, demonstration, hands-on performance of techniques and testing in a concise and practical manner. Topics covered include stance, patterns of movement, baton grip, methods of carry, baton draws, two handed grip blocks, counter strikes etc…
Personal Safety Training - Is a non-occupational training program that teaches preparation and awareness in a proactive approach to safety in today's society. Topics covered include; planning and preparing the mind, intuition, survival mind set, escape-escape-escape, resist, confinement, stress responses, distractions, personal defense tools, and higher awareness. Three and six hour courses available to include hands-on defenses.
First Aid / CPR / AED - Participants in these courses learn to recognize and respond to emergencies including shock, cardiac and breathing emergencies, heat and cold emergencies, sudden illnesses and poisonings. Prepare your staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent, recognize, and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.
